2. Olive Oil - Take a small amount of olive oil and warm it (test it on your the underside of your wrist before putting into your ear to make sure that it isn't too hot) and put a few drops into the affected ear.

3. Blowdryer - Some have reported that using your blow dryer to gently warm the ear helps to soothe the pain as well. This would be highly effective especially if the earache is a result of Swimmer's Ear.
